 Making the decision to quit smoking is a hard one because it is so addictive. Try not to be too hard on yourself if you have already tried to give up and gone back to smoking. Your resolution to quit smoking is just a pill away-- that's how some of the pill manufacturers advertise their products. The main enemy for the quit smoking researchers is nicotine. The reason that so many people gain weight when they quit smoking is because they substitute food for their cigarettes.

Smokers take in poisons such as nicotine and carbon monoxide (the same gas that comes out of a car's exhaust pipe). The difficult part about quitting is the addiction to nicotine. Once a person becomes a smoker and has smoked for quite some time, they become addicted physically and psychologically. These include substances in the blood such as nicotine and carbon monoxide, and also accumulated particulate matter and tar from the lungs. As a consequence, though the smoker may begin coughing more, cardiovascular efficiency increases.

Some statistics about smokers
The average smoker today spends $125.00 to $250.00 per month on cigarettes. Basically, your hypnosis program will cost you little more than a few weeks worth of cigarettes. Adult smokers reduce their lifespan by an average of 13 to 14 years. An average of 400,000 Americans die each year from frequently smoking cigarettes. This vast number implies that in every five deaths that occur in America one is caused by cigarette smoking.

How to quit cigarettes?

Your chances of getting success in quitting cigarettes are higher if you combine quit methods like counselling, nicotine replacement ("the patch") or other medications.
Mind conditioning works best for some people; but to others, self hypnosis to quit smoking is deemed unrealis
